The Roman Colosseum

The Roman Colosseum

The Colosseum christened 'Flavian Ampitheatre' - the family name of the emperors Vespasian and Titus who built it between 70-80AD - was the largest ever built in the Roman Empire, and seated around 80,000 spectators, before falling victim to neglect in later centuries.

Today it is an important site for visitors to Rome, and we are happy to offer a selection of hotels near the Colosseum, which allow you to visit the Colosseum and other tourist sights of Rome with ease.
